Product Warranty
The product manufacturer, Clear View Products Southeast, Inc. offers a Limited Lifetime Warranty on all parts and mechanisms on all of its Clear View Retractable Screen™ Systems to be free of defects in material and workmanship. This warranty expressly excludes the screen material itself. The warranty is extended to the original purchaser, whose name appears on the warranty certificate and is in effect at the location also shown on the warranty certificate. This warranty applies only to residential installations and is not transferable. The word "defect(s)" as used in this warranty, is defined as imperfections that impair the functionality of the Clear View Retractable Screen™ System. Implied warranty of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose are limited to the terms of this warranty. The Lifetime Warranty is for all aluminum parts and powder coating. This does not cover the cost of labor, applicable taxes, shipping or other consequential expenses related to the removal, return or re-installation. The warranty shall not apply if the product has been subject to abuse, fire, flood, misuse, negligence, modification, corrosive environments, vandalism, or acts of God.
Clear View Products Southeast, Inc. Obligation to Purchaser
Clear View Products Southeast, Inc. or Screens of MD, as its designated dealer will replace any part of its Clear View Retractable Screen™ System found to be defective in factory workmanship or factory materials without charge to the original purchaser as specified in the warranty.
Professional Installation Required
Clear View Retractable Screen™ System(s) must be professionally installed by a qualified dealer and cannot be altered in any way by the end user. Installation labor is warranted for 2 years. Clear View Retractable Screen™ Systems not installed by a certified/qualified dealer are not covered by this warranty. Any repairs or modifications made by the end user voids this warranty.
Exclusions
Motor (if applicable) is excluded from the limited lifetime warranty. The motor is warranted separately for 5 years against manufacturing defects.
The actual screen mesh does not apply under the limited lifetime warranty. Defective or non-conforming goods (excluding screen mesh) will be replaced by the company up to 10 years from the date of installation. The warranty shall not apply to normal wear & tear or if the product has been subject to abuse, fire, flood, misuse, negligence, repair by anyone other than a qualified dealer, modification, corrosive environments, vandalism, or acts of God.
This warranty does not cover any incidental, special or consequential damages, labor on location, service calls, re-installation, or expenses involved in shipping packaging and returning goods.
From the time of installation until the owner transfers title to his home to another party, Clear View Products Southeast, Inc. or Screens of MD as its designated dealer will replace any part of the unit that is defective under the terms of this warranty free of charge. Screen mesh is specifically excluded in this warranty. All fasteners are covered under this warranty for corrosion only and will only be replaced on the basis of evidence of corrosion, not from drill/screw driver bit damage during installation or removal.
THIS WARRANTY IS MADE IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
